What we offer
Our licensed customs brokers handle import and export procedures end to end. We do not outsource this — the process is ours, the responsibility is ours.
Scope
- Import and export declarations
- HS code classification and advisory
- Origin and movement certificates
- Free zone and bonded warehouse procedures
- Inward/outward processing regimes
- Audit and compliance checks
What actually causes delays
Most time lost at customs comes not from physical inspection but from inconsistent paperwork. The usual suspects:
- Quantity or weight mismatch between invoice, bill of lading and packing list
- An HS code that does not match what the product actually is
- Origin documents missing, expired or incorrectly issued
- Authority approval not started on goods requiring a permit
- Incoterms and the freight/insurance amounts left unclear on the invoice
Every one of these can be checked before the goods leave. We start the declaration against the loading date, not the arrival date.
Why the HS code matters so much
An HS code is not just a classification number: it determines the duty rate, VAT, any additional duties and trade measures, whether a permit is required, and which origin rules apply.
A wrong code cuts both ways — underpaid duty comes back later with a penalty, while overpaid duty is never refunded unless someone notices. So we settle classification before the first import of a new product, and recommend a retrospective review on existing ones.
Origin and preferential trade
Under the agreements Türkiye is party to, the right origin document earns a duty advantage. Which document applies (A.TR, EUR.1, Form A, an origin declaration) depends on the product and the country. The wrong one means the advantage is lost, and it usually cannot be corrected afterwards.
Customs regimes
Not every import has to enter free circulation. Bonded warehousing defers duty until the goods are sold; inward processing removes the duty burden on inputs for re-export; temporary importation covers exhibition and test material. Which one fits is discussed before the shipment.
