Domestic and Interstate Transport

What we offer

Everything from port or airport pickup to final delivery.

Scope

  • Local and intercity distribution
  • Part load and full truck load
  • Port/airport haulage and container transport
  • Booked delivery slots
  • Temperature-controlled transport
  • Proof of delivery management

Groupage or full truck

On groupage your cargo takes part of a trailer and you share the cost; in exchange the vehicle calls at other points, transit takes longer and handling increases.

On a full truckload (FTL) the vehicle carries only your cargo: it goes direct, there is no handling and the delivery hour is predictable. Above roughly 15 pallets the cost advantage of groupage usually disappears.

What sets the rate

Distance, vehicle type and whether the cargo palletises are the base lines. On top of those:

  • Waiting time at the loading and unloading points
  • Whether a return load exists — one-way lanes cost more
  • Booked delivery slots and time restrictions
  • Temperature control requirements
  • Urban access hours and vehicle size limits

Port haulage and container drayage

On a container move from port to plant, the critical part is not the vehicle but the timing: customs release, the port slot and the empty return deadline all hang together. Planning those three separately generates demurrage and detention; we run them on one calendar.

Proof of delivery

A proof of delivery (POD) is taken and recorded on every drop — delivery time, who received it and any remarks noted. That record is what settles a damage or shortage dispute later.

FAQ

  • What determines domestic vehicle choice?

Cargo volume and the accessibility of the delivery point. City-centre deliveries can be restricted by vehicle entry hours and tonnage limits, so a large vehicle planned for a central address may be refused.

  • How long does an intercity shipment take?

It depends on distance, vehicle type and the number of delivery points. On multi-drop rounds it is the number of stops, not the distance, that sets the time.

  • Is insurance necessary for domestic transport?

Carrier liability is limited and may not cover the full value of the goods. Separate cargo insurance is advisable for high-value shipments.
